God
I believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

A personal introduction for pastors
My name is Gary Dearing. My purpose is simple: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help others share it within their own circles.
Pastor, thank you for taking a few minutes to learn about me and the Solomon ministry. This is a place to examine my beliefs, read my work, and consider whether a conversation or visit might serve your congregation.
Every congregation includes people whose everyday lives take them places their pastor may never go: workplaces, family gatherings, conversations with neighbors, and quiet moments with a struggling friend.
Those relationships offer opportunities to speak about Jesus with love, clarity, and confidence. My hope is to help believers recognize those opportunities and feel better prepared to respond.
The person behind the ministry
Much of my working life has been spent behind the wheel. I’m a UPS feeder driver with 32 years of driving experience, a husband to my wife Kathryn—Kat—and a father and grandfather.
Faith matters in those ordinary parts of life: how we treat people, face uncertainty, carry responsibility, and respond when someone needs hope.
The work you’ll find here has grown out of my desire to make conversations about Jesus more approachable. Through writing, Christian learning resources, and the Solomon assistant, I want to give people useful starting points for exploring faith and sharing it with someone else.
I’m the author of Fingerprint of Reality: Science, Design, and the Truth Beyond Matter. The thread connecting these efforts is the same: helping people consider the truth of the Gospel and respond to Jesus Christ.
The foundation
I understand that a pastor needs to examine the teaching behind a resource before recommending it. These convictions are the foundation of what I seek to share.
I believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for Christian faith and life. Teaching should be examined in light of Scripture.
I believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return.
I believe all people have sinned and need reconciliation with God. We cannot earn salvation through good works or personal merit.
I believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. We are called to repent and trust in Him. His death and resurrection are the foundation of our forgiveness and hope.
I believe the Holy Spirit works in believers to shape lives marked by love, obedience, and growing faithfulness to Christ. Good works are the fruit of salvation.
I believe the local church has a vital place in worship, teaching, fellowship, discipleship, and care. Every believer has a part in bearing witness to Jesus Christ with truth, humility, and love.
I welcome questions about these convictions or anything you find in my writing and resources.
A good place to begin
If you read just one article before we speak, I would suggest my article on Joy.
I’ve chosen it as the starting point because it keeps Jesus at the center—the same place I want Him to occupy in any conversation with your congregation.
Read the article on JoyFor the person wondering whether forgiveness could truly include them.
Three doors into the ministry
Each website serves a different purpose. You’re welcome to explore whichever is most relevant to you or your congregation.
A place to begin asking questions about faith.
Solomon is an AI-powered Christian assistant designed to help people explore questions about God, Scripture, and following Jesus through conversation.
A person may have a question they find difficult to ask aloud, or need help finding a starting point in the Bible. Solomon offers another way to begin that exploration.
Scripture remains the authority. Solomon’s role is to support learning and conversation alongside the teaching, relationships, and care of the local church.

The Academy offers free, structured lessons on foundational questions such as who God is, what the Bible teaches, who Jesus Christ is, and what it means to follow Him.
My aim is to help people move from initial questions toward a clearer understanding of Christian belief and daily discipleship.
There is no charge to participate. Accounts support your learning by saving progress and recording grades.

Science. Faith. A thoughtful conversation.
Science, Design, and the Truth Beyond Matter
Science plays a central role in Fingerprint of Reality. The book explores the universe, mathematics, biological complexity, and questions raised by quantum physics, inviting readers to consider what these subjects may reveal about order, information, and intention.
It takes scientific questions seriously while examining the philosophical and theological questions they raise: Why is there a universe at all? Why is it orderly and understandable? What might the world we study tell us about its origin—and our place within it?
Those questions lead into a larger exploration of God, moral reality, and Jesus Christ.
My hope is to help readers engage thoughtfully with questions of faith—and give Christians a resource they can share with someone who is willing to explore them.
The entire book is available to read free online.

A visit would begin with a conversation about your congregation and what you believe would be helpful.
Why this matters to me
When one person shares the Gospel, that conversation matters. When a congregation grows more willing and prepared to share, those conversations can reach families, friendships, and workplaces far beyond the church building.
That is the opportunity I see in this work. I hope to encourage people who already have relationships, already care about someone, and may simply need help taking the next step.
We can faithfully share the Gospel, love the person in front of us, and trust the Holy Spirit with the work only He can do.
We cannot manufacture faith or change another person’s heart.
Your privacy matters
Across the Solomon ministry websites, you will not encounter advertisements or pop-up ads. We do not use advertising trackers to follow you around the internet or target you with marketing.
Academy accounts are used to support your learning—saving progress, recording grades, and helping you continue where you left off.
Let’s continue the conversation
Pastor, you do not need to decide about a visit on the strength of one phone call. Please take the time you need to read, explore, and ask questions.
If you believe any part of this work could serve your congregation, I would welcome the opportunity to talk.
